Call Of Duty 5 Beta Patch

Patch

Activision and Treyarch have announced details of the Call of Duty: World at War PC beta - and by extension multiplayer in general.

Call Of Duty 5 Release Date

All you have to do to get on the beta is sign up on the official website, by the sound of it, although there's no specific start date just yet.

*At launch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will contain only 10 MP maps from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game. Additional MP maps will be made available. Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game download. The official online destination for Call of Duty t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, collectibles, posters, toys, and other exclusive apparel and accessories. About Call of Duty Beta Patch This beta patch fixes some exploits and bugs, and is only compatible with the English-language version of the game. With it installed, you will only be able to play with other players with v1.3 beta, and there's no direct way to revert back to v1.2.

'All registered users', the site says in bold, including people who sign up after the beta starts, will receive a special key that enables them to create a unique profile name and play.

Call Of Duty 5 For Xbox 360

The profile name is necessary because Call of Duty 5 introduces friends lists and invite options on the PC side (for the first time, apparently). 'We didn't want the new squad mechanics we've developed to get watered down on the PC,' the post explains.

However, you will be able to add in a clan tag as a prefix.

The beta will allow you to host your own servers, and service providers will be able to do the same, although the site notes that the dedicated server will be Windows-only for this testing period.

New Call Of Duty Patch

Finally, we're told that accounts will be deleted after the beta finishes, just as they will be on Xbox 360, so your experience, friends and other details will be lost.
